Addressing Africa’s Infrastructure Gap in the Face of Fast-Rising Energy Demand
This article is based on a presentation that CITAC Africa delivered at the ARDA Storage & Distribution Forum in Addis Ababa on 24-26 September 2024, as well as the CITAC research paper commissioned by Puma Energy in April 2024 “Fuelling Africa’s Potential: Bridging the Gap in Energy Infrastructure”.
In this edition of CITAC’s Industry Insight, we are summarising work related to the infrastructure gap in Sub-Saharan Africa by looking at where the infrastructure challenges are coming from, assessing the extent of the infrastructure gap, and looking at possible ways of closing this gap, including the obstacles and possible solutions.
